LittleCharlies History
The History of LittleCharlies Murals Whatever the occasion, LiL' Charlie's Steak and Grill is ready to cater to your needs. It is our pleasure to provide you with a relaxed atmosphere, excellent food, and wonderful service. The walls at LiL' Charlie's are decorated with four different murals, each being very unique. The latest mural and the one that is getting the Miller's a lot of publicity is the American Wing Mural. This mural starts with George Washington signing the Constitution of the United States of America, and along the way we have Ellis Island, the Gettysburg address, WWII, Wright Brother's first flight, women's right to vote movement, the U.S. landing on the moon, and ending with the never forgotten day of 911 with the symbolic three firemen holding the American Flag. The mural has so much more than that it's a must to see!!!!

You can also find antique farm equipment dated back to the 1800's. One such antique is an ox yoke that belonged to Tricia Miller's (owner) great-great-great-grandfather, Bernhard Wilhelm Schmidt.

Each steak on our menu is aged, and vacuumed sealed for freshness. And yes, we put a secret seasoning on our steaks that make them scrumptious. Our Menu offers a variety of specialty items besides steaks. LiL' Charlie's loves to smoke BBQ. We have a smoker that we use on Friday and Saturday nights only to smoke Ribs. We also have seafood, chicken, Texas-size burgers, and we have an 80 year-old lady that makes our cobbler from scratch.

In case you were wondering LiL' Charlie's is not a chain restaurant. In fact, LiL' Charlie's is actually co-owner Tricia Miller, who acquired the nickname from her father's friends (who said she looked just her father, Charlie).

LiL' Charlie's opened their doors in June of 1999 and has expanded 3 times in five years and has an excellent catering business to go with it. We cater any occasion at any location. We have catered up to 1500 for a Christmas party, were given 3 hours notice one day for a hot lunch for two hundred which we did an excellent job on, and we have catered to Cincinnati and all the way to Indianapolis.

Please stop in and see us at 504 East Pearl Street in Batesville, Indiana. For more information about the restaurant and facilities, call (812) 934-6392.
